Job summary

Eaton’s Corporate Sector division seeks a Manager, Supplier Development Engineering - Special Process & Mechanical Assembly. This hybrid role can be located at multiple U.S. facilities, including Detroit/Jackson, MI.

You will lead a team to build supplier capability, capacity, and readiness for special processes and mechanical assembly, driving excellence and growth. The position offers relocation benefits within the United States and travel up to 50% with a competitive annual salary in the

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Operations, Quality or other related technical discipline.
• Minimum of eight (8) years experience in Supplier Development, Supplier Quality, Manufacturing Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, or related field.
• Minimum of three (3) years leadership experience managing technical teams and cross-functional initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the supplier development strategy for assigned regions, commodities, or business segments.
• Lead, coach, and develop a team of Supplier Development Engineers.
• Provide oversight of supplier capability, manufacturing, operational, and capacity risk assessments.
• Drive supplier manufacturing excellence initiatives utilizing Lean principles, Six Sigma methodologies, process capability improvement, tools and problem-solving approaches.
• Lead assessment and management of supplier production capacity, scalability, and operational readiness.
• Ensure suppliers are prepared for new product launches, capacity expansions, and insourcing/outsourcing activities.
• Establish processes for supplier capability assessments, audits, and development planning.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure supplier readiness throughout product development and launches.
