Job summary

Ross Stores is seeking a Loss Prevention Agent to monitor store entrances, floors, and checkout areas, preventing theft and fraud. You will document incidents, support investigations, and collaborate with leadership and law enforcement to resolve cases.

The role emphasizes safety, integrity, and teamwork, with a base pay range and a hybrid in-office/remote work arrangement. Prior LP or security experience is preferred with strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• High School education or equivalent; AA degree preferred.
• 1–2 years experience in loss prevention, retail, or security.
• Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to collaborate with internal partners and law enforcement.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitor store entrances, exits, sales floor, and checkout areas to identify theft or fraud.
• Observe and engage individuals exhibiting dishonest actions to prevent losses.
• Utilize CCTV, reporting tools, and investigative resources to detect theft indicators.
• Document incidents, maintain evidence, and report to leadership and Investigations teams.
• Partner with leadership and law enforcement to resolve theft cases and support apprehensions.
• Assist with trespass enforcement for repeat offenders in compliance with policy.
• Collaborate with internal teams on major theft incidents and follow-up investigations.
• Identify and report safety hazards and operational vulnerabilities to store management.
