Job summary

Ross Stores is seeking a Loss Prevention Agent to safeguard stores against theft and fraud. You will monitor entrances, use CCTV, document incidents, and work with field leaders and investigators to resolve cases.

The role requires 1–2 years in loss prevention or security, strong communication skills, and the ability to work both independently and in teams. Hybrid in-office/remote work is supported.

Qualifications

• High School education or equivalent required; AA degree preferred.
• Minimum 1-2 years experience in loss prevention, retail, or security.
• Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong collaboration with internal and external partners including law enforcement.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Proven ability to build relationships across all levels of the organization.
• Excellent customer service and problem-solving with urgency.
• Adherence to federal and state security regulations, including background checks.

Responsibilities

• Monitor store entrances, exits, and sales floor to identify theft or fraudulent behavior.
• Observe and engage in dishonest actions to prevent loss.
• Utilize CCTV and reporting tools to detect theft indicators.
• Document incidents, maintain evidence, and provide reports to leadership.
• Collaborate with leadership and law enforcement to resolve theft cases.
• Assist with trespass enforcement for repeat offenders per policy.
• Support investigations and follow-up on major theft incidents.
• Identify safety hazards and operational vulnerabilities for store mgmt.
