Job summary

MongoDB is seeking a Pre-Sales Solutions Architect based in London to guide customers in designing scalable, cloud-enabled data solutions using MongoDB. You will partner with sales to architect, present, and shape opportunities, ensuring technical alignment and customer success across a range of industries.

The role requires extensive experience in pre-sales and enterprise software, strong cloud and on‑prem design skills, and exceptional communication to executives and technical leaders.

Qualifications

• 8–11 years of related experience in a customer-facing role, with 5–7 years in pre-sales for enterprise software
• 3+ years of experience with modern scripting languages (Python/Node.js/SQL) and/or programming languages (C/C++, Java, C#)
• Experience designing scalable, highly available distributed systems in cloud and on-prem
• Ability to review complex architecture with customers and guide improvements using MongoDB technology
• Excellent presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills for technology and business leadership
• Ability to strategize with sales teams and align MongoDB resources for an account plan
• Willingness to travel up to 25%
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience

Responsibilities

• Design scalable applications and infrastructure leveraging MongoDB for large software projects
• Advise customers on architecture patterns and optimization strategies, communicating business value
• Collaborate with sales to drive account success, including discovery, demos, proof of value, and documentation
• Generate demand through technical initiatives, events, and account-based marketing activities
• Foster strong customer relationships and ensure success and satisfaction
• Mentor other Solutions Consulting team members and stay updated on product suite
• Engage in ongoing training to stay current with MongoDB offerings and industry trends
