Job summary

The Mom Project is seeking a Learning & Development Specialist on a contract basis to support a global information, services and media business. The role is hybrid and can be performed from Charlotte, NC or NYC, NY with three days on-site (Tuesdays anchor days) and two days flexibly chosen by the employee.

You will design and develop multi-modal training, write technical instructions, deliver instructor-led programs, and measure learning impact in collaboration with the User Experience team.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience developing and facilitating virtual and in-person training
• Knowledge of adult learning theory and instructional design methodologies
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in education, instructional design, communications, or related field
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to write and present clear, engaging technical instructions
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Experience with learning management system administration is a plus
• Familiarity with generative AI tools is a plus
• Strong attention to detail in communications and documentation

Responsibilities

• Conduct needs analyses to identify knowledge gaps and assess learning requirements
• Design and develop multi-modal learning solutions
• Write instructional materials for technical learning, including step-by-step documentation
• Curate content to meet business needs
• Facilitate virtual and in-person instructor-led programs
• Draft company-wide communications regarding technical changes
• Collaborate within a cross-functional team
• Develop templates and processes for learning solutions
• Stay current on industry trends to keep learning modern
• Evaluate learning solutions for effectiveness in partnership with UX
