Piper Companies is seeking a Junior Network Engineer to support a growing client in the Raleigh-Durham, NC area. The role is hybrid, requiring onsite work 2 days per week at RTP with the remainder remote, and is ideal for an early-career professional with a strong foundation in networking, systems administration, and troubleshooting.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of hands-on experience in network engineering, network support, or systems administration.
• CCNA certification or equivalent Cisco networking knowledge required.
• Experience with network troubleshooting, switch and router configuration, cabling, and patch management.
• Familiarity with Windows Server administration and on-premises infrastructure environments.

Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day network maintenance activities, including patching, cabling, hardware support, and infrastructure upkeep.
• Assist with administration and support of servers, operating systems, and core IT systems in an on-premises environment.
• Diagnose and resolve network connectivity, performance, and infrastructure-related issues across multiple locations.
• Support network upgrades, deployments, and documentation efforts while following established security and operational procedures.
• Collaborate with senior engineers and IT teams to ensure reliable network and system performance.
