Job summary

Piper Companies seeks a Junior Systems Administrator to support a growing technology client in the Raleigh-Durham, NC area. The role is hybrid with 2 days onsite in RTP and remote the rest, ideal for an early-career IT professional with experience in Windows-based environments.

Responsibilities include supporting on-premises servers and core IT infrastructure, troubleshooting connectivity, assisting with deployments, and maintaining system monitoring and documentation.

Qualifications

2+ years of hands-on systems administration or IT infrastructure support.
CCNA certification or equivalent Cisco networking knowledge required.
Experience with Windows Server administration and on-premises environments.

Responsibilities

Provide day-to-day support for on-premises servers, operating systems, and core IT infrastructure.
Assist with network and system maintenance activities, including hardware deployments, cabling, patching, and equipment upgrades.
Troubleshoot and resolve user, server, and network connectivity issues to maintain operational efficiency.
Support system monitoring, documentation, and administrative tasks to ensure stability and compliance with IT standards.
Work alongside senior infrastructure team members on technology enhancements, deployments, and ongoing support initiatives.
