Job summary

The Community Foundation for Greater Atlanta is seeking a Part-Time IT Support Specialist to help staff operate desktops, laptops, and conference systems reliably in a small-to-mid-size nonprofit office.

You will be the first point of contact for hardware, software, and connectivity issues, working closely with the IT Director to maintain secure, well-functioning technology in support of CFGA's mission.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Information Technology or equivalent hands-on experience.
• 1-2 years of desktop/helpdesk support experience in an office.
• Working knowledge of Windows and macOS, Microsoft 365, and common office hardware.
• Ability to explain technical issues in plain language.
• Ability to lift and move IT equipment (up to 25 lbs) as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide first-line helpdesk support for hardware, software, printing, and connectivity issues via phone, email, and ticketing system.
• Set up and configure new employee workstations, accounts, and mobile devices; process equipment returns for departing staff.
• Perform routine maintenance, patching, and updates on desktops, laptops, and peripherals.
• Support audio/video and conferencing technology for meetings and events.
• Maintain accurate inventory of IT hardware, software licenses, and equipment assignments.
• Assist with basic user account administration in Active Directory/Microsoft 365 under IT policy guidance.
• Document recurring issues and resolutions to build out an internal knowledge base.
• Escalate complex technical issues to the Managing Director of IT or appropriate vendor/support partner.
