Job summary

Fullerton Free is seeking a part-time IT support specialist to assist church staff with day-to-day technology. The role is hands-on, serving as the first point of contact for devices, accounts, and documentation, and coordinating with IT volunteers as needed.

The position covers macOS, Windows, and iOS support, Google Workspace administration, device management, network basics, and security tasks. Expect 15–20 hours per week at $28–$30 per hour, with occasional evening or weekend work.

Qualifications

• Two or more years in desktop support or a similar hands-on IT role.
• Strong macOS support skills with working knowledge of Windows and iOS.
• Google Workspace administration experience, plus administration of other SaaS platforms.
• Experience managing devices through an MDM platform.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the first point of contact for staff technology problems: computers, printers, phones, email, file access, and church software.
• Triage incoming requests, set expectations on turnaround, and follow through to resolution.
• Support staff in-person, remotely, and by phone.
• Train staff on church systems and answer how-to and policy questions.
• Draw on the professional knowledge and experience of IT volunteers for church projects and as-needed support, scoping the work around their availability and reviewing results.
