Job summary

TÜV SÜD America Inc. is seeking an IT Support Specialist to provide on-site and remote support for the Americas, covering hardware, software, and phone systems.

You will deploy and maintain end-user devices, manage inventories, and resolve technical issues while collaborating with regional and global IT teams. The role emphasizes strong communication, documentation, and customer service, with hybrid work and opportunities to participate in IT projects and rollouts across multiple sites.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of end-user technical support in a Microsoft/Multi-platform environment.
• Working knowledge of Windows 10, Microsoft Office, Active Directory, and basic server tools.
• Ability to troubleshoot end-user hardware, software, and security issues with sound judgment and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and customer-service skills, including clear technical documentation and follow-through.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site and remote technical support to employees across the Americas for hardware, software, and telephone systems.
• Configure, deploy, upgrade, and maintain end-user devices with accurate inventory records.
• Investigate and resolve technical and security issues, including malware alerts; escalate complex incidents as needed.
• Support Microsoft-based environments and internal applications; serve as a knowledgeable contact for tools.
• Participate in IT projects, hardware rollouts, and system improvements with IT team members.
• Document support activity and solutions; communicate timely updates to stakeholders.
• Identify local equipment and maintenance needs; align IT plans with corporate strategy.
