Job summary

Thomson Reuters is seeking an IT Support Engineer to join our Hybrid IT team in McLean, VA. You will provide Windows and Microsoft 365 support (Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, Entra ID), assist with VPN issues, device provisioning, and documentation for both onsite and remote users.

We value clear communication, teamwork, and a security‑minded approach, with eligibility to obtain a U.S. national security clearance.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a computer-related field or equivalent experience.
Experience supporting Windows 11 and Microsoft 365 apps including Exchange Online and Teams.
Familiarity with Active Directory and Entra ID administration.
Ability to design, implement, and support collaboration solutions using SharePoint Online, Power Automate, Teams, and Outlook.
Experience with Apple iOS devices and device management (Intune).
Strong documentation and customer service skills.
Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. national security clearance.

Responsibilities

Provide day-to-day desktop and phone support for onsite and remote users during core business hours.
Provisions and ships user laptops and mobile devices and configures accounts.
Troubleshoot network issues including VPN connectivity.
Collaborate with teammates and document solutions clearly.
Support IT projects from LAN maintenance to office expansions.
Perform after-hours maintenance as needed.
Maintain accurate asset inventory and ticket time.
Maintain detailed procedures and compliance.
