Job summary
Friedman’s Home Improvement is seeking a hands-on Technology Specialist II to diagnose and resolve advanced hardware, software, network, and infra issues across our retail locations in Sonoma and Mendocino Counties. You will install and maintain computers, servers, printers, and network gear, and support POS systems and store devices.
The role administers Microsoft 365, onboarding/offboarding, and assists with business applications, data reporting tools, and automation projects.
Qualifications
- Associate degree in computer science or related field.
- 2+ years IT support or retail technology experience.
- Experience with Windows, macOS, and Microsoft 365.
- Knowledge of networking and endpoint management.
- Strong problem-solving and customer service skills.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, network, and infra issues.
- Install, configure, and maintain computers, servers, printers, and network gear.
- Support POS systems, payment terminals, scanners, and store equipment.
- Administer Microsoft 365, user accounts, and onboarding/offboarding.
- Develop automation to improve efficiency and document processes.
- Assist with store remodels and system rollouts.
- Provide after-hours on-call support as needed.
