Job summary

Socket.dev in Vermont (VT) is seeking an IT Technician to join a hybrid, client-facing role for remote and on-site support. You will troubleshoot Windows/macOS, server OS, and network services while coordinating with clients and internal teams.

The role requires strong customer service and 3–5 years of IT experience, with familiarity of AD, DNS/DHCP, and virtualization. Travel to client sites is expected; mileage is reimbursed.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years IT experience supporting end users.
• Industry certifications preferred (A+, MCSE, MCSA, MCITP, CCNA).
• Experience with Windows client and server OS.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot hardware/software issues on Windows and macOS and Windows Server.
• Manage help desk requests via phone, email, or chat and document resolutions in a ticketing system.
• Lead complex projects including on-prem to cloud migrations (Exchange to O365, server virtualization and cloud migration).
• Travel to customer locations for onsite visits; mileage reimbursed.
• Generate CSRs and install/configure on IIS web servers.
