Job summary

VC3, Inc. seeks an IT Field Engineer I to provide hands-on client-site support in Williston, VT. You will install hardware/software, troubleshoot workstations and printers, and assist with network connectivity, VPN, RDS, and Citrix.

You will document issues and collaborate with our technical staff to ensure reliable service. You will guide clients on best practices, follow the VC3 Way, and participate in on-call rotations.

Qualifications

• 2 years of relevant technical experience or 1 year as VC3 Service Technician I/II.
• 2 years experience managing Windows Client Operating Systems (10, 11), Microsoft/Office 365, Virus and Security, TCP/IP, DHCP, and DNS.

Responsibilities

• Drive to client sites as scheduled and maintain communication with Service Coordinator.
• Install and set up new computer hardware, software and peripherals.
• Troubleshoot onsite workstation and printer issues.
• Collaborate with VC3 staff for connectivity issues including ISP, wireless networks, DHCP, DNS, VPN, RDS, Citrix.
• Educate clients on VC3 standards and best practices.
• Identify recurring issues and create problem tickets.
• Suggest improvements for hardware/software used.
• Maintain accurate timesheets and detailed troubleshooting notes.
• Participate in on-call rotation (1 week every 3-4 months).
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
