Job summary

PLUS Communications in Arlington, VA, is seeking an IT & Business Operations Specialist to join our Operations team. You will manage IT infrastructure, provide technical support, and lead projects to improve efficiency and security.

The role requires 3–4 years of help desk experience, a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, and strong proficiency in Microsoft 365 and ticket systems (Jira/ServiceNow/Zendesk). A hybrid schedule is offered, with 40 hours/week and potential year-end bonuses.

Qualifications

• 3–4 years of help desk experience.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent technical certifications.
• Proficiency with Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, and related tools).
• Experience with service ticket management systems (e.g., Jira, ServiceNow, Zendesk, or similar).
• Meticulous attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and a positive, can-do attitude.
• High level verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
• Comfortable working and communicating with individuals at all levels and with various vendors and contacts outside of the firm.
• Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines while managing multiple concurrent requests and projects.
• Ability to maintain the highest degree of confidentiality and discretion when handling sensitive information.
• Work independently on IT projects with minimal supervision while remaining adaptable to environmental changes and communicating technical updates effectively across all organizational levels.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical assistance and support for incoming IT requests related to computer systems, software, hardware, and access to business applications.
• Lead IT orientation sessions for new employees and manage offboarding for end-user assets and accounts.
• Set up and support AV systems in conference rooms, including client meetings.
• Support projects related to hardware and software enhancements and troubleshooting.
• Coordinate between PLUS and parent company IT to address user needs and IT compliance.
• Provide ad hoc operational support across the organization as needed.
