Job summary

PLUS Communications, based in Arlington, VA, seeks an IT & Business Operations Specialist to manage IT infrastructure, support staff, and operations initiatives. The role blends technical support, systems administration, and business operations to improve reliability, security, and efficiency.

Ideal candidates have 3–4 years of help desk experience, a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent certs, and strong MS 365 and ticketing skills.

Qualifications

• 3-4 years of help desk experience.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent technical certifications.
• Proficiency with Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive).
• Experience with service ticket management systems (e.g., Jira, ServiceNow, Zendesk, or similar).
• Meticulous attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and a positive, can-do attitude.
• Strong verbal and written communication, ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
• Comfortable communicating with individuals at all levels and with external vendors.
• Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines while managing multiple requests.
• Maintain confidentiality and discretion with sensitive information.
• Work independently on IT projects with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical assistance for IT requests covering hardware, software, and access to business applications.
• Lead IT orientation for new employees and oversee offboarding of assets and accounts.
• Set up and support AV systems in conference rooms for client meetings.
• Support special projects related to hardware and software enhancements.
• Act as primary internal IT liaison between PLUS and parent company IT teams.
• Provide ad hoc operational support across the organization as needed.
