Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking an experienced Intelligent Modeling Coordinator to lead cross-discipline coordination on transit and multimodal projects. You will integrate designs across architecture, structures, roadways, and MEP into federated, clash-checked models while upholding BIM standards.

The role requires advanced CADD/BIM skills, Navisworks-based clash detection, and the ability to mentor staff across offices. Travel may be required as projects demand.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent with vocational technical training in basic CADD drafting technology and intelligent modeling.
• 12 years of related experience.

Responsibilities

• Cross-discipline coordination across architecture, vertical structures, transportation structures, roadway design, and MEP into a single federated model.
• Run clash detection in Navisworks and lead resolution across disciplines.
• Establish and enforce CADD/BIM standards, templates, and workflows across offices.
• Mentor and train production staff across geographies to build capability.
• Review drawings for consistency and QC per firm standards.
• Provide design sketches for junior staff and coordinate with project teams.
