Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking an Intelligent Modeling Coordinator to lead cross-disciplinary BIM coordination for transit and multimodal projects. You will integrate architectural, structural, roadway, and MEP models into federated, clash-checked deliverables throughout the project lifecycle.

The role requires heavy emphasis on Navisworks clash detection, BIM standards development, and mentoring production staff across offices to build a repeatable model-based design capability.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent with vocational technical training in basic CADD drafting technology and intelligent modeling.
• 12 years of related experience.
• Domestic and/or international travel may be required.
• Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.

Responsibilities

• Cross-discipline coordination — coordinates deliverables across architecture, vertical structures, transportation structures, roadway design, and MEP.
• Model coordination & clash detection — runs Navisworks clash detection and leads resolution.
• Standards & governance — establishes and enforces CADD/BIM standards and workflows across offices.
• Mentorship & guidance — provides junior staff with design sketches and training.
• Interfaces with clients, agencies, and subconsultants on model deliverable requirements.
