Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking an Intelligent Modeling Coordinator to lead cross-discipline modeling for transit and multimodal projects. You will coordinate architecture, vertical structures, transportation structures, roadway design and MEP into a single federated, clash-checked model.

Responsibilities include running Navisworks clash detection, enforcing BIM standards, mentoring staff, and interfacing with clients and agencies on model deliverable requirements. Travel up to 10% may be required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent with vocational technical training in basic CADD drafting technology and intelligent modeling.
• 12 years of related experience.
• Domestic and/or international travel may be required.
• Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.

Responsibilities

• Cross-discipline coordination — coordinate intelligent models across architecture, vertical/ transportation structures, roadway, and MEP.
• Model coordination & clash detection — run Navisworks clash detection and lead resolution.
• Standards & governance — establish and enforce CADD/BIM standards and workflows.
• Mentorship & guidance — mentor production staff and provide design sketches.
• Interfaces with clients, agencies and subconsultants on model deliverable requirements.
• Develop BIM Execution Plans and advise pursuit teams on model scope and LOE.
• Performs CADD/technical support tasks and reviews manufacturer prints.
