Job summary

Apex Systems seeks an Instructional Designer in Boston for hybrid work (3 days in-office, 2 remote). The role focuses on designing scalable learning solutions, leveraging Articulate and Camtasia, with a strong emphasis on adult learning principles and project leadership across multiple client groups.

You’ll develop videos, eLearning modules, and curricula, ensuring alignment with brand standards while collaborating with subject matter experts and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 4+ years instructional design experience with adult learning and eLearning.
• Proficiency with Articulate 360 (Storyline/Rise) and Camtasia.
• Experience in needs analysis through delivery and evaluation.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, Project, PowerPoint).
• Experience in curriculum design, training needs analysis, and eLearning development.
• Strong project management skills for multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Ability to work independently and in hybrid environments.
• Excellent writing, editing, communication, and presentation skills.
• Proven ability to build relationships across departments.

Responsibilities

• Determine and implement learning strategies and programs including blended learning for in-person, virtual, and video-based eLearning solutions.
• Design and develop instructional materials such as videos, eLearning modules, curricula, and storyboards.
• Ensure training programs and materials adhere to standards, style guides, and templates.
• Independently manage multiple training projects across client groups with timelines.
• Provide editing, quality assurance, and consistency checks for training deliverables.
• Create learning solutions in multiple formats (instructor-led, virtual, microlearning, self-paced).
• Apply critical thinking and problem-solving to resolve challenges and maintain momentum.
• Align programs with branding and DEI values across the organization.
