Job summary

Overture Partners in Boston seeks an experienced Instructional Designer for a full-time contract role. The position is hybrid, with three days onsite and two remote, totaling 40 hours per week, focused on creating scalable learning programs.

You will partner with SMEs to design blended learning, develop Storyline/Rise and Camtasia content, and manage multiple projects to deliver high-quality training on time.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent education/experience.
• 4+ years of instructional design with adult learning, digital learning, and rapid development.
• Advanced proficiency with Articulate 360 (Storyline & Rise) and Camtasia.
• Experience owning the full learning development lifecycle from needs assessment to evaluation.
• Strong background in curriculum development, training needs analysis, and eLearning development.
• Proven project management skills balancing multiple projects, stakeholders, priorities and deadlines.
• Excellent written, verbal, editing, and presentation skills with attention to detail.
• Proficiency with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Project.

Responsibilities

• Analyze workforce and stakeholder learning needs to determine instructional strategies and program structures.
• Design blended learning experiences including ILT, virtual training, video modules, microlearning, and self-paced content.
• Develop eLearning courses, videos, curricula, job aids, and storyboards aligned with learning objectives.
• Build interactive experiences using Articulate Storyline, Rise, Camtasia, and related tools.
• Collaborate with SMEs and stakeholders to translate complex material into effective training.
• Manage multiple learning projects, maintain schedules, and coordinate dependencies.
• Apply adult learning principles and rapid development practices across the lifecycle.
• Review and edit training materials for accuracy, usability, and branding consistency.
• Resolve project challenges with sound judgment, prioritization, and clear stakeholder communication.
• Stay updated on emerging learning technologies and instructional design trends.
