Job summary

Alfa Laval is seeking a proactive Inside Sales & Customer Support Specialist for a hybrid on-site role based in Richmond, VA; Greenwood, IN; or Houston, TX. You will identify leads, manage CRM data, and pursue opportunities to close sales while delivering exceptional customer service.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree or equivalent, 2+ years in inside sales or customer service, and strong CRM skills (Salesforce/HubSpot) with excellent communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, communications, or related field preferred or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum 2 years in inside sales, customer service, or a similar role.
• Proficiency in CRM tools (Salesforce, HubSpot) and MS Office.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to build rapport and manage multiple tasks.
• Adaptability in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Identify and qualify leads through inbound and outbound activities.
• Maintain an up-to-date CRM with accurate data.
• Proactively contact prospective customers to promote products/services and close sales.
• Develop tailored sales pitches and proposals to meet customer needs.
• Track and manage the sales pipeline toward monthly and quarterly goals.
• Collaborate with the sales team to refine strategies and achieve revenue objectives.
• Upsell or cross-sell additional products or services to existing customers.
• Educate customers on new offerings, features, and solutions.
• Serve as the first point of contact for customer inquiries and resolve issues.
• Escalate complex cases and ensure follow-through until resolution.
• Guide new customers through onboarding and training as needed.
• Conduct product demonstrations and training sessions.
• Maintain relationships and collect feedback to improve experience.
• Prepare regular reports on support trends and sales performance.
