Job summary

Modigent, a national leader in HVAC, plumbing, and controls, seeks a Senior Project Manager to provide senior leadership for complex commercial projects across multiple operating companies. You will oversee project managers, superintendents, and field teams to ensure safety, profitability, and client satisfaction while building long-term relationships with clients and vendors.

Qualifications

• 8–12+ years in commercial HVAC/mechanical PM roles, including 4+ years in senior/lead PM roles.
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
• PMP, LEED, OSHA 30-hour certifications a plus; valid driver's license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage project managers, superintendents, and field personnel to deliver on time, within budget, and to high safety standards.
• Review bid documents, drawings, and scopes early to identify risks and value engineering opportunities; propose solutions.
• Collaborate with preconstruction, estimating, and operations to create schedules, budgets, and project plans.
• Track budgets, costs, labor productivity, change orders, and forecasts; implement corrective actions as needed.
• Foster open communication among stakeholders to resolve conflicts and ensure alignment.
• Organize coordination meetings, site walks, and progress reviews; document scope changes and decisions.
• Ensure adherence to contracts, specifications, policies, safety, and quality expectations.
• Champion QA by conducting site reviews and partnering with quality teams on processes and inspections.
• Build long-term client and subcontractor relationships to support future opportunities.
• Recruit, train, mentor, and develop team members; participate in hiring as needed.
• Enforce safety compliance; coordinate with safety officers and PPE usage.
• Provide leadership vision for planning, sequencing, labor utilization, and continuous improvement.
