Job summary

Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater San Diego is seeking an HR Generalist to manage recruitment, onboarding, HRIS data entry, and payroll support. You will help administer benefits, leaves, and compliance while maintaining confidential records and assisting with training initiatives.

Under the direction of the VP of HR, you will collaborate with managers to fill roles, conduct background checks, and ensure policy adherence across the organization, including weekend/evening events as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year experience in Human Resources/Recruitment field is required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent time management with ability to meet deadlines.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Administer recruitment processes including posting, interviewing and onboarding.
• Maintain HRIS data entry and employee records.
• Assist with payroll, benefits, and leave administration.
• Ensure compliance with employment laws and company policies.
• Respond to staff questions and escalate complex issues to senior HR staff.
• Support training, safety, and wellness initiatives.
• Manage disciplinary matters and investigations as needed.
