Job summary

ES3 HR in San Diego, CA is seeking an HR Generalist to support compliance, benefits administration, staff engagement, and policy issues. The role serves internal and external customers from a private office, reflecting high integrity and discretion in safeguarding sensitive information.

The position will handle recruitment workflows, onboarding, background checks and employee eligibility verifications, while staying current with employment law and HR tech platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Organization Management, Human Resource Management, Economics, Pre-Law, or related major preferred.
• 3-5+ years of experience in Human Resource Management; compliance experience
• Proficient with Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint; ADP Workforcenow and QuickBooks PRO preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist HR programs administration including compensation, benefits, leave, workers’ compensation, disciplinary matters, investigations, and talent management.
• Support benefits and wellness program administration with staff and vendors.
• Track training and compliance schedules per federal/state guidance.
• Maintain HR metrics and survey data across HR platforms via staff engagement activities.
• Assist recruitment workflow: postings, screening, interviews, onboarding.
• Collaborate with managers to define skills and competencies for vacancies.
• Coordinate background checks, offer letters, onboarding, and new hire orientation.
