Job summary

State of Washington is seeking an HR Data Team Lead in Olympia to provide senior-level guidance on HR data processing and reporting, including hires and personnel actions. The role includes keying responsibilities for career seasonal employees and mentoring staff.

The auditing lead will delegate work, research complex HR issues, and implement solutions, with a hybrid schedule of onsite and occasional telework. Travel may be required within the state.

Qualifications

• Six years of broad-based professional HR experience (classification/compensation, employee relations, CBAs, laws).
• Two years of professional experience providing technical HR/Payroll support (processing personnel actions, recruiting, auditing).
• Six months of experience keying actions into a HRMS.

Responsibilities

• Run QA/QC reports in JIRA to address HR tickets and gaps.
• Compare HRMS reports to locate errors and correct data.
• Audit PID, probationary periods, and end dates; support Workday deployment.
• Mentor and train Data Team staff and delegate work as auditing lead.
