Job summary

The Institute for Health and Recovery (IHR) is seeking a Human Resources Assistant to support recruitment, onboarding, records management, and HR compliance in a hybrid Watertown, MA environment.

The role requires 2+ years in HR, a Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree, and proficiency with ADP Workforce Now Version 5, HRIS software, and MS Office. Reports to the Director of Human Resources and collaborates with the HR team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Associate’s Degree required; 2+ years in HR/ payroll preferred.
• Solid knowledge of ADP Workforce Now Version 5.
• Experience with Human Services Information System (HRIS) software.
• 2+ years in a HR environment, ideally nonprofit.
• Excellent administrative, organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Post job openings, screen resumes, coordinate interviews, and conduct reference checks.
• Support onboarding processes for new hires, including orientation materials and sessions.
• Maintain, update, and audit employee records in HR database and ADP with confidentiality.
• Organize training on RELIAS on hire and annually.
• Generate HR reports and communicate with staff via phone and email.
