Job summary

Harvard Library is seeking an HR Analyst and Program Manager to join the HR team, reporting to the Associate Director of HR. The role oversees classification, compensation and position management for HL CADM and FAS Libraries, with a focus on data integrity across HR systems and policy adherence.

Responsibilities include leading the classification committee, coordinating performance cycles, and supporting programs for staff, including student workers and leadership development initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required.
• Minimum of 5 years’ relevant HR experience.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office and HRIS analytics.
• Experience with HRIS data across systems (QlikView, PeopleSoft, Aurora).
• Knowledge of employment law and HR policies.
• Demonstrated commitment to inclusion and belonging.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and classify positions using Harvard benchmarks and guidelines.
• Manage the compensation request process from intake through analysis and communication.
• Oversee position management and track vacancies in partnership with the Finance Office.
• Serve as Authorized Requestor for HR systems and manage access reviews.
• Produce and analyze complex HR data reports across HR systems.
• Coordinate annual performance review cycles and update leadership.
