Job summary

Homeward Bound of Marin is seeking a Hybrid Case Manager to support shelter residents as they build stability. You will help participants integrate into shelter life, set goals, and move toward independence with Housing First principles.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years in shelter or housing programs, knowledge of Housing First, and experience with HMIS or Salesforce. The role emphasizes compassionate, collaborative work and data-driven client progress.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, social welfare, or a related field or two (2) years of experience in a related residential or housing program.
• Minimum of two (2) years’ experience working with under-resourced or low-income populations; experience working with individuals experiencing homelessness preferred.
• Knowledge of Housing First, harm-reduction and trauma-informed principles.
• Working knowledge of SSI, SSDI and other entitlement programs.
• Experience with data entry systems (HMIS, Salesforce, or similar).
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, cloud-based systems, and Adobe.

Responsibilities

• Provide housing-focused case management in one‑on‑one and group settings.
• Identify and address barriers to housing stabilization.
• Engage participants regularly to support program participation and progress toward housing stability.
• Coordinate with healthcare, behavioral health, and community partners for care planning.
• Maintain accurate and timely data in agency databases.
