Job summary

Homeward Bound in Novato, CA is seeking a Program Manager to join our housing team and support residents in achieving housing stability through coordinated services.

The role involves case management, coordinating CalAIM, HMIS and Salesforce documentation, supervising staff, and ensuring program compliance while advancing our mission to open doors to safety, dignity, hope, and independence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, human services, or related field, or 3 years of housing/human services experience.
• Experience with homelessness or underserved populations preferred.
• Knowledge of Housing First, harm reduction, trauma-informed care, mental health and community resources.
• Familiar with public benefits systems and housing programs; HMIS/Salesforce proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Provide housing-focused case management to individuals and groups.
• Coordinate housing support services and referrals.
• Develop and monitor housing and care plans integrating housing and health services.
• Oversee housing referral, placement, move-in, and retention processes.
• Document accurately in HMIS and Salesforce; ensure compliance.
• Monitor progress, address barriers, provide crisis intervention, and coordinate resources.
• Support property management activities and site monitoring.
• Supervise and train assigned staff; participate in meetings and quality activities.
