Job summary

Mercantile Bank seeks an HCM Operations Specialist to ensure payroll processes are accurate, timely, and compliant. You will support core systems, data integrity, and reporting while coordinating across CRM, iSolved, and related platforms.

Daily duties include monitoring integrations, resolving issues with clear documentation, and backing up payroll and tax activities. The role is on-site in Wyoming, MI with the opportunity for remote work up to two days per week after training.

Qualifications

• 1–12 months of related experience.
• Strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving, communication, and client service skills.
• High attention to detail with ability to manage competing deadlines.
• Experience reviewing payroll totals, balances, rates, and related calculations.

Responsibilities

• Support payroll operations across key systems and data processing controls.
• Coordinate system administration across tools (CRM, iSolved, and related platforms) and monitor integrations and releases.
• Resolve operational issues with clear documentation.
• Support payroll funding workflows (wires, ACH, reversals, 401(k) web uploads) and contribute to reporting and data integrity.
• Provide backup coverage for essential payroll and tax activities.
