Cisco Systems, Inc. is seeking an experienced hardware security professional to join the HW-CSDL team in a hybrid Raleigh, NC role.

You will translate security evaluations into practical design requirements, review architectures from system to boards, and create implementation guidelines for engineers across Cisco. Ideal candidates have 7+ years in hardware design plus security fundamentals, with scripting and RTL design experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in a technical field with Hardware design/engineering experience.
• Experience interpreting schematics, block diagrams, datasheets, and PCB design/reviews.
• Background in hardware security fundamentals (RoT, Secure Boot, cryptography, secure key storage).

Responsabilités

• Collaborate with hardware teams to analyze hardware security evaluations and produce actionable design guidance.
• Deconstruct complex hardware architectures from system to components to identify vulnerabilities and design-in resilience.
• Interpret standards (NIST SP 800-193, CNSA 2.0, EU Cyber Resilience Act, IEEE 2883) into technical requirements.
• Create security guidelines, reference architectures, and implementation guides for engineers.
• Lead multiple engagements across product families and balance parallel security initiatives.
• Educate hardware communities to foster a security-first culture throughout the lifecycle.
