Job summary

Eversource Energy in Massachusetts is seeking an engineer to support the ongoing maintenance of electric network models and real-time tools such as Synergi Electric and DMS. You will collaborate with IT, GIS and engineering teams to ensure accurate models and implement future enhancements while aligning with regulatory and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
• 3-5 years related experience is required.
• Experience modeling electric distribution systems.
• Ability to manipulate data from large datasets to provide specific results.
• Familiarity with Synergi/Cyme, DMS, OMS, GIS, SCADA.

Responsibilities

• Act as SME for modeling tools and real-time technologies (Synergi Electric, Transformer Load Management, Volt/Var Optimization, GIS, SCADA, AMI).
• Collaborate with IT, GIS and engineering teams to maintain and improve models (Synergi, DMS).
• Create project approvals: need statement, scope, technical solution, risks, budget, and schedule.
• Evaluate new technologies and assess their relevance to operations.
• Develop data processing methods to design and verify models and databases.
• Coordinate with multiple disciplines across MA/CT/NH for grid modernization projects.
