Job summary

DoorDash, Inc. is seeking a full‑stack engineer to join the Experimentation Platform Team. You’ll build across backend services, SDKs, and the Decision Portal UI used by thousands of internal users, reporting to the engineering manager on the Decision Experience team.

Hybrid work across SF, Sunnyvale, Seattle, and NYC with in‑office and remote time. You’ll evolve the platform with new statistical methods, ML and AI tooling, and partner with Product Engineers, Data Analysts, Data Scientists, ML

Qualifications

• BS, MS or PhD in CS or equivalent.
• 2+ years building web apps end-to-end using TypeScript with React on frontend.
• Strong CS fundamentals and OOP knowledge.
• Deep understanding of REST/gRPC and backend API design/consumption.
• Solid knowledge of database tech and storage options.
• Backend experience with Java, Kotlin, Python, or Go.
• Experience with documentation, unit/integration/end-to-end testing.
• Product-minded approach to building platform services and tools.
• Proficiency with AI coding tools across the full SDLC (Claude Code, Codex, Cursor).

Responsibilities

• Enhance and simplify the Experimentation platform used by thousands of engineers.
• Possibly build a new platform from ground up and influence system design and product experience.
• Own features end-to-end from APIs and data models to React UI in the Decision Portal.
• Collaborate with Product Engineers, Data Analysts, Data Scientists, ML Engineers and Data Infra to deliver UI and workflows.
• Introduce cutting-edge technologies, including LLM-powered tools, into experimentation tooling.
• Evolve the platform for advanced statistics, ML/AI techniques and causal inference.
