Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of nonprofit management, nonprofit finance, fund development, and/or philanthropy.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience working with nonprofit boards as a liaison.
• Bachelor's degree in Nonprofit Management, Social Work, Public Administration, or related field preferred.
• Strong understanding of legal, insurance, and real estate agreements, contracts, policies, and procedures.
• Strong understanding of foundation bookkeeping and/or accounting.
• Proven ability to manage budgets and financial resources.
• Exceptional digital skills including Office365, Sharepoint, Adobe Creative Suite, Little Green Light, Quickbooks, or similar platforms for workspace management, CRM, accounting, digital design, social media, and communications.
• Exceptional leadership, organization, and public speaking skills.
• Savvy in handling calls, emails, and other requests from board members, with prioritization of tasks.
• Self-driven, collaborative, and astute in communication with partners and stakeholders.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal abilities, including coordinating in-person and remote work by multiple collaborators.
• Passion for community service and commitment to the mission; experience with the IDD community preferred.
• Hybrid work with 8 hours on site at ANBA, and additional hours working from home or remote.
• Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
• Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate MVF board meetings and committees, and support board documents.
• Oversee MVF annual grant to Ability Now Bay Area, from budgeting to reporting.
• Liaise with MVF Investment Policy Advisors and monitor banking/investments.
• Support property management and coordinate with contractors and ANBA.
• Ensure MVF fulfills landlord duties under the MVF-ANBA lease.
• Assist in annual budget preparation and align with ANBA’s budgeting cycle.
• Prepare annual compliance filings and manage audits with MVF Treasurer.
• Set up and maintain MVF bookkeeping systems and monthly reporting.
• Process invoices, reimbursements, and checks between ANBA and MVF.
• Provide monthly activity reports to MVF and ANBA boards.
• Support legal counsel and ensure transparent reporting to the MVF President.
• Train staff on administrative aspects and attend community events.
