The Mary Valle Foundation (MVF) is a charitable 501c3 organization with the specific mission to support Ability Now Bay Area, primarily through an annual grant, and management of the property on which ANBA operates. The organizations collaborate as supporting and supported entities, with boards that maintain an open and constructive dialogue aimed at advancing ANBA’s mission.
Are you passionate about leadership in philanthropy, and ready to step into a highly collaborative foundation coordination role? We are seeking a friendly and dynamic Foundation Coordinator to liaise between the Mary Valle Foundation, Ability Now Bay Area, and the active and energized boards for each organization. In this role, you will assist the MVF President and Board of Directors in coordinating all aspects of Foundation operations and board activities. Specifically, this role coordinates MVF Board meetings and committees, MVF activities in collaboration with the ANBA board, MVF responsibilities as property owner of ANBA’s premises at 4500 Lincoln Avenue, and regular MVF financial reporting and oversight activities. Through a shared services agreement, Ability Now Bay Area is the employer of record for this position and will manage all aspects of hiring and management for the Foundation Coordinator.
As the primary liaison between Mary Valle Foundation and Ability Now Bay Area, and a key member of the ANBA organizational leadership team, you will collaborate with MVF stakeholders and ANBA’s board, participants, and staff to ensure stewardship of the Foundation’s resources and their effective deployment in support of the mission, participants, and goals of Ability Now Bay Area. This part-time, flexible role supports the Foundation’s work with Ability Now Bay Area and strengthens the relationship between the two.
