Job summary

Bay Area Community Resources is seeking a Development Manager in the San Francisco Bay Area who will oversee grant funding, donor engagement, and nonprofit fundraising initiatives. The role partners with the CEO and Executive Directors to shape strategy and execution.

You will manage calendars, track commitments, and prepare materials for funders while helping to build capacity through effective communications, research, and proposal development.

Qualifications

• Strong organizational and project management skills with ability to manage multiple workstreams.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with diverse audiences.
• Knowledge of grants management, funder research, proposal development, and reporting.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain stewardship calendar of grant deadlines, donor touchpoints, campaigns, and events.
• Track fundraising commitments and provide reminders and progress updates to leadership.
• Schedule donor and funder meetings on behalf of the CEO and Executive Directors.
• Prepare agendas, briefing materials, and funder research summaries for meetings.
• Support outreach and draft grant proposals and funder reports with CEO/EDs and finance staff.
• Develop boilerplate language and program descriptions to streamline proposals.
• Collaborate with Contracts to track grants through all stages.
