Job summary

Mattel, Inc. is seeking a Specialist to lead forecasting and planning for a top retailer. You will join a dynamic team focused on collaborative sales forecasting and inventory management, supporting Sales and Customer Inventory teams in forecasting, planning and order fulfillment.

You will act as SME on assigned accounts, drive weekly item level POS projections, and coordinate with Buyers and Replenishment Managers to optimize in‑stock levels and order fulfillment across channels.

Qualifications

• Proficient in MS Office, Excel Power User.
• Direct forecasting experience planning in a highly seasonal environment with long lead times.
• Extensive experience in analyzing large data sets and compiling actionable summarized reports.
• Knowledge of demand forecasting tools and cross-functional forecasting processes (JDA, SAP, Demantra, Anaplan).
• Have at least 5+ years relevant experience in sales analysis or merchandise buying/planning.

Responsibilities

• Lead analysis of sales trends to improve weekly item level POS projections and align plans with stakeholders and retail partners.
• Determine model for evaluating item level forecasts considering consumption, history, inventory, and promotions.
• Create weekly shipping plans by item and channel to support POS plans and in-stock levels.
• Develop product flow patterns based on seasonality, promotions, distribution, and pricing.
• Present findings in internal S&OP meetings and drive consensus forecasts month to month.
• Collaborate with Buyers and Replenishment Managers to propose action plans for the season.
• Influence end-to-end order process to deliver store in-stock metrics and optimize fill rate.
• Oversee Direct Import execution from Asia in partnership with Customer Service in Hong Kong.
