Job summary

Mattel is seeking a Specialist to lead forecasting and planning for a top retailer. This role sits on the Sales Planning & Analytics team and focuses on collaborative sales forecasting and inventory management across POS, seasonality, and order fulfillment.

You will analyze weekly sales trends, construct item-level forecasts, and partner with Buyers and Replenishment Managers to drive in-stock performance and efficient order flow.

Qualifications

• Proficient in MS Office, Excel Power User.
• Forecasting experience planning in a highly seasonal environment with long lead times.
• Extensive experience in analyzing large data sets from multiple sources.
• Knowledge of demand forecasting tools and cross functional forecasting processes (JDA, SAP, Demantra, Anaplan).
• Have at least 5+ years relevant experience in sales analysis or merchandise buying/planning.

Responsibilities

• Forecast weekly POS trends and seasonality to drive item-level projections.
• Lead consumption analyses to plan weekly shipping by item and channel.
• Collaborate with Buyers and Replenishment Managers to reach a consensus forecast monthly.
• Deliver in-stock metrics and optimize fill rate across the order flow.
• Present data findings in cross-functional S&OP meetings.
• Direct the Direct Import execution with Asia and Hong Kong Customer Service.
