Job summary

Mattel, Inc. is seeking a Specialist to lead forecasting and planning for a top retailer.

You will join a dynamic team focused on collaborative sales forecasting and inventory management, supporting both Sales and customer inventory teams in forecasting, planning, and order fulfillment. You will drive weekly POS projections, optimize order fulfillment, and partner with Buyers and Replenishment Managers to deliver actionable plans.

Qualifications

• Experience with PowerBI, Alteryx, BigQuery or other database programs.
• Experience with statistical forecasting techniques, systems applications and model building.
• Knowledge of demand forecasting tools and cross functional forecasting processes (JDA, SAP, Demantra, Anaplan).
• Have at least 5+ years relevant experience in sales analysis or merchandise buying/planning.

Responsibilities

• Serve as SME on assigned account and brands and forecast sales trends.
• Lead weekly item level POS projections and align plans with stakeholders and retailers.
• Determine models for evaluating item level forecasts using brand history, inventory, and promotions.
• Create weekly shipping plans by item and channel to support POS plans and in‑stock.
• Develop product flow patterns based on seasonality, promotions, and price points.
• Present data findings in internal S&OP meetings to reach consensus forecasts month over month.
• Collaborate with Buyers and Replenishment Managers to recommend action plans per season.
• Drive store in‑stock metrics by optimizing order creation and fill rate; manage Direct Import from Asia with Hong Kong team.
