Job summary
Rockwell Automation is seeking a Field Support Engineer to travel within the region, perform on-site installation, startup and maintenance of automation systems, and ensure customer satisfaction. You will work from the Columbus, Ohio area with 50% travel and primarily remote work, reporting to the Territory Services Manager.
You will manage projects, document procedures, and coordinate with customers and Rockwell Automation on technical matters.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required in a technical field.
- Preferred degrees in Manufacturing or Industrial Automation.
- Experience with industrial automation and on-site service is advantageous.
Responsibilities
- Manage customer projects including needs identification, scheduling, tracking, and reporting.
- Support installation, startup, maintenance, and operation of automation systems and software.
- Evaluate operational quality of equipment and liaise with customers on topics.
- Contribute to customer satisfaction metrics and project documentation.
- Create validation plans, SOPs, qualification reports, and technical docs.
- Communicate project details with Rockwell Automation and customers.
