Job summary

Ledcor Construction, Inc. is seeking a Designer to perform detailed outside plant (OSP) design work for telecommunications networks. The role combines office design with field support to ensure constructible GPON network designs, collaborating closely with the engineering team under the Design Manager.

Responsibilities include creating designs, BOMs, and quotes; performing site walks; and ensuring quality and safety standards across North America.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in OSP telecommunications or related field using AutoCAD.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Office, Google Earth, Bluebeam and Adobe.
• GIS is a plus. Strong organizational and planning skills.
• Ability to interpret construction documents and collaborate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Design fiber optic and copper OSP networks for FTTH and developments.
• Work with power company to route power and create one-line schematics.
• Manage growth and sustainment, relocations and infrastructure changes.
• Perform quality control, field checks, and interpret OSP records.
• Create system designs, BOMs, and provide construction quotes.
• Conduct site walks and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Adapt to a dynamic work environment.
