Job summary

Ledcor Technical Services seeks a Designer to perform detailed design of outside plant (OSP) elements and fiber designs for telecom networks. You will work with engineering to create GPON designs, combining office and field duties under the Design Manager guidance.

The role includes safety and quality control support for construction staff. Qualifications include a diploma in a relevant field and 3+ years in OSP telecom with AutoCAD; proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Office, Google Earth, Bluebeam, and

Qualifications

Education: College, Trade, or Technical Diploma (civil, electrical/telecommunications, GIS).
Experience: 3+ years in OSP telecommunications or related field using AutoCAD.
Skills: Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Office, Google Earth, Bluebeam and Adobe; GIS a plus; strong organizational and planning skills.

Responsibilities

Design fiber optic and copper OSP networks for FTTH deployments and commercial developments.
Collaborate with design and construction teams and support field staff with safety and quality control.
Create system designs, BOMs, and provide construction quotes.
Perform field checks, interpret OSP records, and manage network growth and relocations.
Conduct site walks for data collection and coordinate with cross-functional teams.
Adapt to a dynamic work environment.
