Job summary

Ledcor Technical Services seeks a Designer to perform detailed design of outside plant (OSP) elements and fiber designs for telecom networks. You will work with the engineering team to create constructible GPON network designs using various tools, collaborating with design and construction teams under the guidance of the Design Manager.

This role involves office and field work, supporting construction staff with safety and quality control.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in OSP telecom or related field using AutoCAD.
• Degree or diploma in civil, electrical/telecommunications, or GIS.
• Strong ability to interpret construction documents and coordinate with teams.

Responsibilities

• Design fiber optic and copper OSP networks for FTTH deployments and commercial developments.
• Work with power company and design power routes and one-line schematics.
• Manage growth and sustainment of existing networks, including relocations and infrastructure changes.
• Perform quality control, field checks, and interpret OSP records.
• Create system designs, BOMs, and provide construction quotes.
• Conduct site walks for data collection and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
• Ability to adapt within a dynamic work environment.
