Job summary

Ledcor Technical Services currently seeks a Designer for detailed outside plant (OSP) design of aerial and underground fiber/copper networks. You will work with engineering to produce constructible GPON designs and support construction staff with safety and quality control.

The role blends CAD work with field data collection, site walks, and cross-functional collaboration. Requires 3+ years in OSP and AutoCAD proficiency; some travel is expected.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in OSP telecommunications or related field using AutoCAD.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Office, Google Earth, Bluebeam and Adobe.
• GIS is a plus; strong organizational and planning skills.
• Ability to interpret construction documents and collaborate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Design fiber optic and copper OSP networks for FTTH deployments and commercial developments.
• Work with power company and design power route and one-line schematics.
• Manage growth and sustainment of existing networks, including relocations and infrastructure changes.
• Perform quality control, field checks, and interpret OSP records.
• Create system designs, BOMs, and provide construction quotes.
• Conduct site walks for data collection and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Adapt within a dynamic work environment.
