Jacobs is seeking an intermediate design engineer focused on environmental site remediation for federal and private sector clients. Based anywhere in the United States, you will design remedial actions, evaluate site conditions, and prepare work plans and reports with guidance from senior staff.

This hybrid role blends office work with occasional field data collection to support project delivery. You’ll join a global remediation technology team, mentor others, and contribute to safe, compliant

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, or Geotechnical Engineering.
• Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification.
• Knowledge of environmental remediation technologies, systems, or remedial actions.
• 4+ years of on-the-job experience in environmental remediation with project examples.
• 2+ years designing environmental remedial actions or remediation systems with project examples.
• On-the-job experience writing specifications, basis of design reports, and design drawings.
• Ability to communicate concisely and proactively with team members.
• Ability to work remotely with teams located nationwide.
• Based within the United States.

Responsibilities

• Design environmental remedial actions and remediation systems.
• Evaluate site conditions, determine data needs, and assess alternatives.
• Prepare work plans, reports, and design drawings/specifications.
• Mentor and collaborate with project teams; share knowledge.
• Occasionally perform field data collection and oversee subcontractors.
