Job summary

Madison Area Technical College is seeking an Infrastructure Engineer to join our Desktop Infrastructure team within Technology Services. This role provides technical leadership in managing, deploying and securing enterprise desktop environments to ensure a stable, standardized computing infrastructure for faculty, staff and students.

The position offers a hybrid schedule (two days onsite, three days remote) at Truax Campus in Madison, WI, with potential adjustments based on business needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience required.
• 4+ years of professional experience in desktop infrastructure.
• Knowledge of patch management and endpoint security required.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and maintenance of enterprise desktop solutions for stability and security.
• Plan and optimize software deployment across devices.
• Monitor and troubleshoot endpoint environments; apply updates and security policies.
• Provide guidance and document standardized procedures for the team.
