Job summary

Glumac, a Tetra Tech company, is seeking an Energy Analyst to join the High-Performance Buildings Services Group in San Francisco, CA. The role focuses on energy modeling, audits, retro-commissioning, and decarbonization initiatives to advance energy efficiency and sustainability across projects.

You will work with engineers, architects, and project stakeholders to deliver technical analyses, recommendations, and impactful strategies for optimizing building performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Physics, or related technical field.
• Knowledge of MEP systems, sustainable building design, and decarbonized energy systems.
• Strong problem-solving, critical-thinking, quantitative, and analytical skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple assignments and priorities.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively within multidisciplinary project teams.
• Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis; this position is not eligible for current or future employment visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Develop and analyze building energy models for new construction and existing buildings to evaluate energy performance and efficiency opportunities.
• Analyze utility consumption and building data to identify energy-saving opportunities.
• Evaluate MEP systems and design strategies to support energy efficiency and decarbonization.
• Support energy audits, retro-commissioning, and building optimization services.
• Perform analyses to support net-zero energy and carbon neutrality planning.
• Assist with energy code analyses and compliance per ASHRAE 90.1, IECC, and Title 24.
• Prepare calculations, reports, and client deliverables communicating findings clearly.
• Collaborate with engineers, architects, owners, and other stakeholders to meet project schedules and budgets.
