Job summary

Glumac, a Tetra Tech company, is seeking an Energy Analyst in San Francisco, CA. This role supports energy modeling, audits, and decarbonization initiatives within the High-Performance Buildings Services Group.

You will develop energy models for new and existing buildings, analyze energy data, and contribute to energy efficiency strategies, electrification, and net-zero planning. Hybrid work with two in-office days per week in SF.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Physics, or related technical field.
• Knowledge of MEP systems, sustainable building design, and decarbonized energy systems.
• Strong problem-solving, quantitative, and analytical skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.
• U.S. work authorization for full-time employment; no visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Develop and analyze building energy models for new construction, existing buildings, and renovations.
• Analyze utility consumption and building trend data to identify energy-saving opportunities.
• Evaluate MEP systems and decarbonization strategies to meet energy efficiency goals.
• Support energy audits, retro-commissioning, and building optimization services.
• Perform analyses for net-zero energy, carbon neutrality, and decarbonization planning.
• Support energy code analyses under ASHRAE 90.1, IECC, and California Title 24.
• Prepare calculations, technical reports, and client deliverables.
• Collaborate with engineers, architects, building owners, and other stakeholders to meet schedules and budgets.
