Job summary

Glumac, a Tetra Tech company, is seeking an Energy Analyst in San Diego to advance building energy efficiency and decarbonization. You will develop energy models, analyze performance data, and support sustainable design and operational strategies across new and existing buildings.

The role involves collaboration with engineers, architects, and project stakeholders, with a hybrid work setup and two in-office days weekly in San Diego.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Physics, or related technical field.
• Knowledge of MEP systems, sustainable design, and decarbonized energy systems.
• Strong problem-solving, quantitative, and analytical abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills; ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Ability to work both independently and within multidisciplinary teams.
• Authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

Responsibilities

• Develop and analyze building energy models for new construction and existing buildings.
• Evaluate energy performance data and identify efficiency opportunities.
• Assess MEP systems and sustainable design strategies for electrification and decarbonization.
• Support energy audits, retro-commissioning, and building optimization projects.
• Perform technical analyses to support net-zero energy and carbon neutrality planning.
• Support energy code analyses under ASHRAE 90.1, IECC, and California Title 24.
• Prepare calculations, reports, and presentations communicating findings to clients.
• Collaborate with engineers, architects, owners, and other stakeholders per project schedules.
